This is Julia! Our first stop today was Global Gardens, an olive oil and vinegar place. Our favorite vinegar was the Raspberry one and I personally liked the Walnut olive oil.

It looks like Connor and I took over the tasting section! He is about to pour the Raspberry vinegar.

Gas Stations back then only charged $0.37 per gallon. We all wished gas costed this much right now!

The Poppy is our state flower. It is amazing to see these growing on the side of the road. It looks like the bees are attracted by these bright flowers.

Who knew gates were made out of such peculiar items.

Which way do I go? Up, down, left, right? If you stop by this abandoned shelter, you will never know which way to go!

Apparently Nebraska and Nevada are the only states that get appreciated in California. Not even California is listed on here!

Made it to our first stop in our trip up to Monterey. We’re staying at Flying Flags RV in Buellton. We’ll be here tonight and tomorrow. The traffic through LA was…well…typical Saturday, LA traffic.
Flying Flags is a mega RV park. But it has one cool feature. they have renovated a dozen or so Airstreams that they rent out. Very cool to see these classics.

It looks like Tucker is enjoying his first stop…Buellton. He is ready for some fetch. He hadn’t planned on coming, so this is a nice surprise!

The beautiful Airstream! We are all hoping for a good nights rest with this fancy fellow. Hopefully Tucker won’t have any gas to disturb us in our sleep.

I figured a good place to start our blog would be to catch up with a past trip to Buellton, CA, near Santa Barbara. Buellton’s claim to fame was it being featured, along with Solvang, in the classic wine country movie, Sideways.
One of the wine stops we always make is Bella Cavalli Farms and Vineyard. Not only does Jeff and his gang produce great wines, they tend to their horses in a manner we would all like to be cared for. Their barn and pastures are pretty nice digs by any standard. I was ready to just move in.

The kids love going there and Jeff always makes sure fun is had by all.

Dustin and our Granddog, Tucker joined us on this trip. Tucker is right at home in our Airstream.

We’ll be off in a week on a spring break trip to Monterey with the Connor and Julia. No Mom and Dad this trip. And what happens at Nana’s and Grampy’s, stays at Nana’s and Grampy’s!
